The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was found shot outside a pawn shop Tuesday morning in Prescott Valley.

YCSO detectives were called to the scene and are investigating the shooting as an attempted murder.

Detectives learned that the shooting started as a drug deal between the victim and three suspects. YCSO said a confrontation ensued and one of the suspects shot the victim in the abdomen. The suspects then pushed the victim out of the vehicle and drove away.

The victim was flown from a local hospital to a Phoenix-area hospital.

YCSO named the three suspects involved in the incident as Troy Mobley, 30 of Phoenix, Skyler Beveridge, 21 of Prescott Valley and Zachary Bowling, 22 of Mayer.

YCSO said the suspect vehicle was found unoccupied near the Prescott Valley Civic Center. Detectives learned that the three suspects had called a friend to give them a ride so they could leave the car behind.

The friend arrived in his green Toyota Tundra truck and left with only Mobley. The two then stopped at Blue Hills Market in Dewey and the owner went inside. YCSO said that's when Mobley drove away with the owner's truck.

The truck owner told police he had no knowledge of the shooting involving Mobley and immediately reported his truck stolen.

The two other suspects, Beveridge and Bowling were later arrested. Beveridge was booked on charges of robbery, assault and hindering prosecution. Bowling was booked on charges including assault with a weapon, kidnapping and robbery.
