A woman panhandling outside a church is accused of exposing herself to a pastor, trying to grope him, and calling him Satan.

Stela Dinu, 45, faces one count of sexual abuse and two counts of indecent exposure.

The charges date back to an incident in April of 2018.

That's when police say Dinu was panhandling with multiple small children outside a Catholic church in Phoenix.

The church's pastor came out and offered services to her and her children. Dinu refused services.

The pastor then told Dinu she could not panhandle on church grounds, and she left the property.

Later, the pastor was told that people were "aggressively panhandling on church grounds." So he went outside and found Dinu and her 13-year-old son, panhandling again.

The pastor again offered services, which Dinu refused, and he again warned her she could not panhandle on church grounds.

According to the police report, Dinu "and the boy became verbally aggressive and they boy asked to physically fight (the victim) while Stela called (the victim) Satan."

As Dinu and the boy walked away, the pastor followed them at a distance while on his phone so he could give police information about where to locate the subjects.

That's when police say Dinu pulled down her skirt and exposed herself to him, and asked the pastor "if that was what he wanted," according to the police report.

Police say Dinu then tried to grope the pastor, but he moved out of reach, so she only brushed his pants with her hand.

Dinu and the boy then took off and jumped into a car, but a witness got the license plate, and police were able to later track her down.

According to the police report, Dinu said: "she was upset because he was telling her to leave and she pulled down her clothing to expose herself."

She said she did not recall trying to grab the pastor.

She is due back in court June 28.
