Scottsdale police are searching for the man they believe "violently attacked and sexually assaulted" a woman who later died of her injuries, and they need your help to find him.

It happened at about 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018, on the patio of a business at 3902 N. Brown Avenue, which is southwest of Indian School Road and Drinkwater Boulevard, not far from the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

According to police, the victim, a 70-year-old homeless woman now identified as Paulette Larwinski, was in critical condition when she was taken to the hospital. She died on June 30.

Investigators released video of the suspect from two different video cameras.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic between 20 and 30 years old. He is between 5 feet, 6 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing between 170 and 200 pounds.

“Just prior to the attack, he was seen wearing no shirt and blue jeans,” according to the Scottsdale Police Department. “After the attack, he was seen wearing blue jeans, a dark T-shirt and dark colored shoes.”
