(Meredith) – A school resource officer in Alabama is going viral after reluctantly posing for a “back-to-school” photo.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office shared the hilarious picture on its Facebook page Tuesday.

In the photo, Sgt. Nathan Kendrick stands on his front porch while holding a Spider-Man lunch box and a sign that reads: ‘2018 1st Day of School.’

By the look on his face, he doesn’t seem too thrilled about posing for the camera before heading back to school.

The viral photo has been shared more than 20,000 times on Facebook.

Several Facebook users applauded the deputy’s sense of humor and thanked him for his service.

“Thank you for bringing this laughter and goodwill to our day,” one commenter wrote.
